Now with More or Less Geek
Out of my extensive reader base (all 5 of them), I’ve noticed a definite split.
There are my tech-savvy friends, who are just trying to keep tabs on me.
And then there are the business/nerd contacts who live in the startup world that I wish to be apart of.
So instead of trying to split up the entire blog into two separate entities – one for Friends and one for Tech – I’m just splitting up my RSS feeds.
Now you can get QuirkeyBlog with just the Geekery.
Or with just the boring details of my life.
And – if you care about me that much ( tear, sniffle ), you can still subscribe to the all inclusive feed.
A note on how the split was achieved in WordPress
It was pretty easy actually. First, I added two categories: Geekery and Life. Then I added each post to one of these categories. Then with the useful information found on the WordPress Codex I created feeds for each of these categories, and then burned them.
Then it was just a matter of putting the links in my sidebar and Voila!
